A Biblical View of Your Consicience, by Dr. Jay Quine

Conscience and lawThe "Conscience" -- Romans 2:15
“My conscience is clear,” we may say, defending a decision. Or we challenge a friend who tries to smile through a guilty conscience. The conscience is that inner voice, a self-regulator that warns us before we take a foolish course of action, and condemns us thereafter. This is Dr. Jay Quine, asking you to remember the word “conscience”. This inner voice is what the Spirit of God uses to guide us. Though the conscience He may prod us toward a decision, or convict us after a bad one. Don’t shipwreck your faith you faith, but listen to your conscience and keep it strong. Remember the word.

Dr. Jay Quine: Remember the Word "Boast"

Romans 3:27 "Boast"
Through the many ribbons on her wall my daughter boasts of her swimming victories. Her hard work in practice paid dividends in the meets. But can she boast before God of her hard work for eternal life? No. For only through faith, not works, does Jesus declare righteous the swimmer. Where is the boasting then? for you, it is excluded. By what principle. Of works? No, but by the principle of faith. As you swim through this day’s events, let me, Dr. Jay Quine ask you to remember this word. Let go of YOUR works and place your faith in the works of Jesus. He stroke is strong, and only through him will you be safely carried to the other side. Boast in Christ alone.

Jay Quine speaks on "Apostle"

Galatians 1:1
I found myself chasing my tail trying to make others happy. I was doing it at work, trying to meet the demands of others that may or may not have had anything to do with my job, or the goals of the organization. Most of my efforts to satisfy these demands were a waste of time. Reading Galatians 1:1 it struck me—like Paul I was sent not sent into the ministry by men, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father. Apostle means “sent one.” We are not apostles in the official sense, but are sent nevertheless by God, to please God, and not to chase our tails trying to please men. This is Dr. Jay Quine. Remember that you are one sent on a mission of apostleship. You’ve been sent by God.

Kiss a Girl, Go to Hell? Really?

This is an example of poor church marketing.  Its negative, unfriendly, and threatening.  Studies have shown that successful churches are warm and inviting.  New potential church members are easily turned away by anything other than the friendliest open arms policy.
